For years I sat across the table from small companies that had just been handed a security questionnaire they couldn't answer. A bigger customer, an insurer or a bank wanted proof of a cyber and compliance program, and the only options were consultants or platforms built for companies ten times their size.

I saw it again and again across more than a decade selling security and compliance at Coalfire, NAVEX and CDW. Before that, I spent 15 years in the U.S. Army, where readiness wasn't a document, it was a habit.

I built Scarlet Risk to give small businesses that habit: the foundational risk program they're being asked for, running in under 20 minutes, at a price that makes sense for a company their size. Scarlet is based in Tampa Bay, Florida.
