Every client form feels unique. Most ask the same things: who has access, what's patched, how vendors are vetted, where backups live, and whether you can prove it.
The MSPs who stay sane keep a reusable playbook — same spine, client-specific answers and evidence — instead of a blank page every Friday.
Build the spine once

Get your free Risk SnapshotMaintain a living packet per service line (RMM, identity, email security, backup, remote access):
- Control statement in plain English
- Where evidence lives (export path, screenshot folder, ticket tag)
- Owner on your team
- Last reviewed date
- Client-owned vs MSP-owned vs shared
When a questionnaire arrives, map each ask to the spine. Fill gaps. Do not invent new prose for questions you've already answered twenty times.
Labels beat theater
Use Confirmed / Partial / Planned / Gap / Client-owned on your internal tracker. Clients and insurers care that the "yes" has a file next to it. Logos without evidence stall renewals.
Remote access and insurer reality
Remote-access tools show up on cyber applications constantly. Keep version, console MFA, and session/file-transfer review dated for the book of business — the same habit Cyber Awareness Month reinforces. Checklist, not panic.
Vendor answers clients will forward
When clients ask how you vet your vendors, send the one-page vendor questionnaire pattern — not a forwarded SIG. Same diligence language week to week builds trust.
